Storms in Carolinas lead to flooding concerns

The National Weather Service said a stationary thunderstorm is dumping torrential rains over Wilmington and that knee-deep water has been seen on city roads. Scattered thunderstorms began moving into the states early Sunday afternoon, leading to several warnings in both North and South Carolina. The National Weather Service said some systems could bring large hail, lightning and wind gusts up to 65 mph because of the moist and unstable air across the region.
